Annual Student Events
Day Trip to Bangkok/Petchaburi/Ayutthaya - This welcoming activity is designed to help new students and Study Abroad students learn about Thai history and culture.
Student Life and Activities Fair - The fair provides both new and returning students with information on the upcoming activities of the SGA & the university’s various clubs. Participants can also learn about the services and facilities provided for students, such as the Counseling Center, Resident Assistants (RAs), etc.
Ice Breaker (Rafting/Paintball/Water Park) – The Ice Breaker Event aims to help new and returning students get to know each other and build friendships while taking part in a series of fun activities together.
Webster Dialogue – Student leaders generate a list of issues important to Webster students and engage the Administration with their recommendations for improving various aspects of campus life.
Webster Works Worldwide – Every October, WUT students, faculty, staff and alumni volunteer their time to participate in community service projects at local non-profit organizations.
Fall Break Trip – This student-led trip to one of Thailand’s tourist destinations (e.g., Chiang Mai/Koh Samui/Kanchanaburi) takes place during the fall break.
Collage of Cultures – The biggest annual event to celebrate WUT's rich cultural diversity, this event is organized at a hotel and features a national dress fashion show, performance competition, and buffet dinner.
Loy Krathong Celebration – Honoring one of Thailand’s most charming traditions, this cultural event celebrates the Loy Krathong Festival with a Krathong making workshop and beauty pageant.
Health and Personal Safety Fair – This annual fair helps to raise awareness and educate students on health promotion and personal safety.
Day Trip to Bangkok/Petchaburi/Ayutthaya – After the New Year break, this welcoming activity is designed to help new students and Study Abroad students learn about Thai history and heritage during a field trip to one of the country’s cultural sites.
International Food Fair – Students from different countries cook traditional dishes from their national cuisine to sell at this event. In addition, the most delicious dishes win prizes.
BBQ Party – This relaxing BBQ party takes place by the beach to raise funds for the WUT Rotaract Club.
Spring Break Trip – This student-led trip to one of Thailand’s tourist destinations (e.g., Chiang Mai/Koh Samui/Kanchanaburi) takes place during the spring break.
Songkran Celebration – This cultural event is held in celebration of the Thai New Year, or Songkran Festival, which includes paying respect to elders and teachers through traditional activities as well as fun-filled water splashing and games.
Sports Competition (Basketball/Futsal/Badminton)
Sexual Violence Prevention – This important activity aims to raise awareness of and educate students on sexual violence, including how to prevent it and what to do if it happens.
Student Affairs Leadership and Service Award Banquet – At this annual event, awards are presented to two students – one undergraduate and one graduate – who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to improving student life at Webster University through campus or community involvement and participation in organized campus activities.
